Pearl V. Auld | Obituary
Pearl V. Auld, 96, of Nashville, formerly of Oakdale, died June 11, 2018, in Nashville.
Pearl was born Jan. 1, 1922, in Oakdale, the youngest daughter of Rae J. and Florence B. Boyle (nee Boner).
On Dec., 26, 1945, Pearl married Charles Auld in Oakdale; he preceded her to his heavenly home on Oct. 24, 2013.
Pearl grew up south of Oakdale, and worked at Oakdale State Bank following her graduation from Blackburn College.
Pearl was a faithful wife, mother, homemaker and an avid volunteer in the Oakdale community. Pearl was a life-long partner in marriage to Charles. Because of her love for the outdoors she worked alongside, stride for stride, with Charles on the family farm.
Pearl also loved gardening and growing beautiful flowers. She continued this love for growing and arranging flowers through her latter years and added to that a joy of bird watching from her sun room windows.
Pearl was a member of the Oakdale Parade Committee, Farm Bureau, and a longtime member of the Oakdale Reformed Presbyterian Church until it disbanded, at which time she and Charles attended Elkton Union Church, Elkton.
A most notable highlight in Pearl’s life was her love for family and friends. In addition, she was always available to assist with any Oakdale community project.
Pearl and Charles loved visiting their many friends and family, both near and far. Pearl also enjoyed writing letters to everyone she knew, sharing family highlights and keeping up with what was going on in their lives.
