Emergency personnel responded shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday to a crash on Route 3 at Wagner Lane south of Red Bud in Randolph County.

According to the accident report, a northbound 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by a 16-year-old girl from Ruma crossed into the southbound lane and struck a southbound 1999 Chevrolet S-10 driven by Daimen Lloyd, 20, of Evansville. The S-10 came to rest in a field following the collision.

The 16-year-old girl was transported by ambulance to Red Bud Regional Hospital, as was a 1-year-old child passenger in the S-10.
