Morris L. Schweickhardt, age 76, of Prosper, Texas, died Sept. 30, 2016.

He was born April 9, 1940, in Harrisonville, son of the late Leonard Henry and Edith Matilda (nee Stoeckel).

On Aug. 22, 1964, Morris married Marlene Mueller in Belleville.

Morris owned and operated M&S Auto Body in Columbia.  He then worked for Illinois Power Company in Ballwin as a maintenance mechanic.

Morris was a member of Prosper United Methodist Church and 5-0 of Prosper.

He was one of the founding members of the Columbia R/C Flying Club and enjoyed building and flying model airplanes throughout his life with his son and friends.

Other hobbies included woodworking, camping, boating, NASCAR and the San Antonio Spurs. His passion was building and restoring cars, where he met people from around the country.

Morris and his wife traveled to numerous car shows in the U.S. and made many friends. He was also a member of the Pride of Texas Street Rods and North Dallas R/C Club.

Everyone who met Morris always knew they could look to him to help resolve a mechanical problem or provide assistance wherever it was needed.

Morris will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a devoted husband and loving father.

His children were his heart and joy, and he and his wife were fortunate to follow their children to Texas in 1998.
