Clown sighting in Waterloo?

Waterloo police were called to the area of Steining Street just after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, following a report of a clown seen walking in the neighborhood. There appears to be no indication of harmful intentions with the Waterloo clown sighting.

Police responding the call said they question the validity of the clown sighting, chalking it up to possible childhood imagination.

Nationwide, people in at least 14 states have reported seeing creepy clowns roaming around. Some have reportedly tried to lure women and children into the woods, while others have made direct threats to schools and college campuses.
