Fredine G. Mustion

Fredine G. Mustion (nee Gunter), 88, of Waterloo, formerly of Cahokia, died Aug. 16, 2016, at her residence.

She was born May 10, 1928, in Lyman, Okla., daughter of the late Fred and Eva Gunter (nee Patterson).

Mrs. Mustion was retired from the Farmers Home Administration in St. Louis. She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church of Waterloo, and a member of the Red Hat Society and the Monroe County Garden Club.

Surviving are her daughters, Judy Simokaitis of St. Louis, Debbie (Jerry) Sherman of Waterloo, and Tami (Herschel) Riddle of Fults; 14 grandchildren, Angela (Ron) Sanders, Tony (Christine) Simokaitis Jr., Liz (Jeff) Foppe, Nick (Lauren) Simokaitis, Amy (Paul) Luzecky, Kate (Chad) Rycenga, David Simokaitis, Joe Simokaitis, Jerry Sherman Jr., Danielle Meyer, Amber (Eric) Lavender, Brandon Sherman, Tiffany Anderson and Dakota Riddle; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Woody Mustion; a brother, Fred Gunter; three sisters, Elouise Strunk, Edna Cunningham and Georgia Ellis; and a son-in-law, Anthony Simokaitis.

Visitation was Aug. 18, at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia.

Funeral services were Aug. 19, at the funeral home, Deacon Nick Simokaitis officiating.

Interment followed at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.
