Columbia EMS personnel responded about 8 p.m. Thursday to a farm on Steppig Road to check on a farmer who had been trapped under a tractor for about two hours before he was freed.

The farmer was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis. The extent of his injuries is unknown.
