The Illinois High School Association released playoff pairings for area softball teams.

Gibault Catholic High School (4-20-1) will play Mulberry Grove in the Class 1A Marissa Regional on May 18. The regional final will be played May 21.

Valmeyer High School (4-14-1) will play Metro East Lutheran in the Class 1A Lebanon Regional on May 18. The regional final will be played May 21 with the winner advancing to the New Athens Sectional on May 24.

Dupo High School (15-5) will play Roxana in the Class 2A Piasa Regional on May 18. The winner will play either Staunton or Wood River in the regional final on May 21 with the winner advancing to the Gillespie Sectional on May 24.

Columbia High School (20-3) will play either East St. Louis or Cahokia in the Class 3A Columbia Regional on May 24. Waterloo High School (13-13) will play Highland on May 25 in the Columbia Regional. The regional final will be played May 28, at 11 a.m. with the winner advancing to the Herrin Sectional.
