Clarence Louis Sendelbeck

Clarence Louis Sendelbeck, 91, of Waterloo, died March 5, 2016, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Feb. 6, 1925, in Waterloo, son of the late Leo V. and Anna Sendelbeck (nee Amend).

Clarence was a retired electrician, a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo, the Columbia RC Flying Club, and Academy of Model Aeronautics.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Verona I. Sendelbeck (nee Lerch); a son, Thomas C. (Diane) Sendelbeck; a daughter, Karen S. (Kent) Meister; grandchildren Kelly and Lauren Sendelbeck, Kate (Tanner) Springer, and Eric Meister; and three great-grandchildren, Deacon, Ryker and Caylum Springer; along with sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Dorothy Reh; three brothers, Leo J., Paul, and Jack Sendelbeck; sisters-in-law; and brothers-in-law.

Visitation was March 8 and March 9, at Quernheim Funeral Home.

A funeral Mass was celebrated March 9, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Waterloo, Father Don Blaes officiating.

Interment followed at St. John Cemetery, Valmeyer.
