Waterloo High School senior wrestler Austin Stewart is this week’s Republic-Times Athlete of the Week.

Stewart won the Mississippi Valley Conference title in his weight class (152) on Jan. 30, and followed that up with a first place showing in the Class 2A Triad Regional on Feb. 6.

Stewart will attempt to become just the third WHS wrestler to advance to state this weekend at the Mahomet-Seymour Sectional.
