Laurie Barchet and Brent Rombach announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mary and Steve Barchet of Fults. She is a graduate of Valmeyer High School and McKendree University with a master’s degree in professional counseling. She is employed with Cornerstone in Alton.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Pete and Sue Rombach. He is a graduate of Edwardsville High School and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He is employed as a police officer in Wood River.

The couple are planning an April 2016 wedding.
