Columbia boys bowling | Team of the Week

This week’s Republic-Times Team of the Week is the Columbia High School boys bowling team.

Led by three-time state tourney qualifier Cameron Touchette, the Eagles recently set a state record for the highest team score for a single game.

On Nov. 12 against Dupo at West Park Bowl, the Eagles bowled a team game score of 1,280, eclipsing the previous state record of 1,270 set by Deerfield in 2011. Touchette bowled a 279, followed by Cade Stein and Hayden Erpenbach each with a 267, Brandon Perjak at 254 and Sean Jerome at 213.

The team series of 3,414 on that day is tied for 12th all-time in the state with O’Fallon.
