Janelle Louise Dial

Janelle Louise Dial, 62, of Valmeyer, formerly of Chester, died Oct. 30, at Saint Louis University Hospital, St. Louis.

She was born Jan. 24, 1953, in Red Bud, daughter of Billie M. and Mildred Rose Dial (nee Fuss).

Janelle was a registered nurse for 40 years, most recently working at Liquid Agents Healthcare in Plano, Texas.

She was a member of St. George Episcopal Church of Belleville.

Janelle was a graduate of the Chester High School Class of 1971, a member of the NRA, an active member of the Humane Society and was on the cannon crew for reenactments at Fort de Chartres. She loved the outdoors, camping and exercising.

Survivors include her mother Mildred Dial of Chester; brother Neal (Debra) Dial of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Billie Dial.

Visitation is Nov. 7, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud.

A memorial service will be Nov. 7, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, with Fr. Dale Coleman officiating.

Per Janelle’s wish, she was cremated.

Memorials may be made to Les Amis du Fort de Chartres (Friends of the Fort) or St. George Episcopal Church, Belleville.
