Arthur Roy Burkhardt, 79, of Waterloo, died Sept. 14, 2015, in Waterloo.

He was born Oct. 4, 1935, in St. Louis, son of the late Sylvester E. and Emma W. Burkhardt (nee Baum).

Arthur was a member of Maeystown Sportsmans Club and St. Paul United Church of Christ, Waterloo.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Marie Burkhardt; children Julia Siegfried and Scott (Angela) Burkhardt; grandchildren Benjamin Deterding and Nick (Jennifer) Deterding; and great-grandchildren Nathan, Kaylee and Conner Deterding.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Philip Burkhardt.
