Rachel Anne Lawn, of Waterloo, formerly of Wichita, Kan., and Thomas Richard Applewhite, of Waterloo, formerly of St. Louis, have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Dr. Claudia A. Lawn of Wichita, Kan. She is a graduate of Kansas State University with a master’s degree in public health and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She is currently employed as a veterinarian at Waterloo Animal Hospital.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Dr. Thomas A. Applewhite and Mrs. Claire H. Applewhite of St. Louis. He is a graduate of Saint Louis University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Juris Doctorate. He is employed as a partner at Donner Applewhite, Attorneys at Law in downtown St. Louis.

The couple are planning a Sept. 26, 2015, wedding.
