Gary E. Donnell

Gary E. Donnell, 76, of Waterloo, died May 24, 2015, in Waterloo.

He was born July 17, 1938, in Greencastle, Ind., son of the late Lowell Donnell and Lola Owen (nee Elder).

Gary was the co-founder and co-owner of Foodservice Center, Inc. from 1973 until his retirement, and he was a lifetime member of Kankakee Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Donnell; children Ed (Laurie) Donnell and Jennifer (Ken) Helfrich; grandchildren Isaac Donnell, Eric Helfrich, Regan Donnell and Alex Helfrich; and brother David Owen; along with many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wayne Donnell and sister Bonnie Wilson.

Visitation was May 26, at Quernheim Funeral Home, and May 27, at First Baptist Church of Waterloo.

Funeral services were May 27, at the church, Pastor Steve Neill officiating.

Interment followed at Deer Hill Cemetery in Waterloo.
