Sarah Marie Holmen and Patrick Emil Quernheim were married March 28, 2015, with the bride’s uncle Pastor Richard Holmen and Pastor Matt Friz officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Charles Holmen and Diane Holmen. She is a graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a bachelor’s degree in art education and is employed as an art teacher at Millstadt Consolidated School District.

The groom is the son of Michael and Jane Quernheim. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a bachelor’s degree in mortuary science and funeral service and is employed at Quernheim Funeral Home.

A reception followed at the Columbia American Legion.
