The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Dupo High School sophomore softball player Megan Brown.

She currently leads the entire St. Louis area in hitting with a .661 average for the 13-6 Tigers. Brown went 11-for-15 over the past four games, including a 3-for-4 performance Thursday against New Athens with two home runs.

On the season, Brown has hit five homers and 13 doubles.
