This week’s Republic-Times Team of the Week is the Columbia Middle School volleyball team coached by Rachel Mathews. The team finished the season with an overall record of 14-3 and won the Cahokia Conference Tournament championship. Despite injuries to two key players, the team put together an amazing season. “They all had great attitudes and were coachable young ladies with a stellar work ethic,” Mathews said. “I can’t say enough about them.”
