Neil and Rachel Giffhorn of Waterloo announce the birth of their son, Robert William Giffhorn.

He was born at 5:05 p.m. Dec. 30, 2014 at Missouri Baptist in St. Louis, Mo.

He weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

He was welcomed to the world by big sister Josephine “Josie” Giffhorn, 10.

His maternal grandparents are Jane and the late William George Boyd.

His paternal grandparents are Gerald and Sonja Giffhorn.

His great-grandparents are Robert and the late Marguerite Brandt.
