Waterloo fire and Monroe County EMS responded to a two-vehicle accident at Route 3 and Sportsman Rd. this morning just before noon.

The cars involved were a maroon Ford Focus and a silver Chevrolet truck (pictured below).

At least one person was transported by ambulance to the hospital – the extent of injuries is unknown.

Traffic was backed up on eastbound Route 3 due to the accident.

The call went out at 11:36 a.m.
