Megan Marie Taaffe and Charles Clifford Edahl, Jr. of Arlington, Va. have announced their engagement and upcoming wedding.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. William Michael Taaffe of Columbia and Ms. Terriann Kmiec of Litiz, Penn.

She graduated from Gibault Catholic High School in Waterloo and Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Va.

She is employed as a business development manager for Destination DC, the visitor’s bureau for Washington D.C.

The groom-to-be is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gregory Close and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clifford Edahl, Sr.

He graduated from Providence High School in Charlotte, N.C. and Hampden-Sydney College in Hampden Sydney, Va.

He is employed as a regional sales manager for Cook Medical, Inc.

They are planning an April 25, 2015 wedding.
