The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department responded shortly after 1:30 p.m. Thursday to a report of a single-vehicle crash in the area of 1085 Centerville Road in Columbia. A female driver apparently backed her car into a ditch in an attempt to turn around due to a tree down across the roadway. There were no injuries reported. The road district was contacted to remove the tree from the roadway.
