Eleanor E. Braun, nee Kreher, 96, of Hecker, died Aug. 23, 2014 in Hecker.

She was born Jan. 13, 1918 in Paderborn, daughter of the late John and Frances Kreher, nee Neff.

She was a member of St. Augustine Church in Hecker.

Mrs. Braun is survived by children Don (Kathy) Braun, Barb (Gene) Fetter, Dale (Debbie) Braun, Jo (Steve) Sturgeon; grandchildren Kevin Braun, Dan (Sue) Braun, Lisa (Robert) McCarthy, Carolyn (Robin) Fetter, Russell (Becky) Fetter, Annie Fetter, Kyle Braun, Ashley (Lance) Fix, Mike (Kathleen) Sturgeon, Matt (Beth) Sturgeon; great-grandchildren Josh, Justin, Kaitlyn, Cody, Megan, Ryan, Gavin, Dylan, Tyler, Raymond, Hannah, Charlie, Lincoln, Levi, Adalynn, Lucille, Ella and Theodore; great-great-granddaughter Audrey; and sister Isabelle Wittenauer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond J. Braun, son David Braun, brothers Sylvester and Clarence Kreher, and sisters Agnes Gregson and Mary Braun.

Visitation took place Aug. 25 at St. Augustine Church in Hecker.

A funeral Mass took place Aug. 25 at the church.

Interment followed at St. Augustine Cemetery in Hecker.

Memorials may be made to the church or the Hospice of Southern Illinois.
