Columbia man found deceased in vehicle; death deemed not suspicious

A 67-year-old Columbia man was found deceased in his vehicle at his residence at around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Monroe County Coroner Vicki Koerber identified the man as Gary D. Clark.

The death was deemed not suspicious in nature, Koerber said, and results of an autopsy and other tests, including toxicology, to determine an official cause are pending.

Columbia police were called to the 200 block of Breidecker Street shortly before 5:30 p.m. Columbia EMS also responded.

Visitation will take place Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Lawlor Funeral Home in Columbia and on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Columbia.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
