Columbia Police
April 24: Benjamin F. Garrett, 41, of Granite City, was arrested for domestic battery.
April 29: A 14-year-old is charged with four counts of criminal damage to state supported property. Police said the juvenile destroyed bath- room fixtures at Metter Park and damaged wiring on school buses owned by the Columbia School District.
April 30: A 16-year-old was arrested at 2842 Robert Drive for threatening a police officer. “The suspect threatened to commit an act that would cause great bodily harm/death and it was done over the internet,” Columbia Police Chief Joe Edwards said.
May 2: Eric F. Bense, 26, of Columbia, was arrested for a Monroe County warrant on Main Street at Centerville Road.
May 3: Stacy M. Mooney, 40, of Belleville, was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage on Route 3 northbound at Route 158.
Heather A. Hegel, 24, of St. Louis, was arrested for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving on the shoulder and speeding on Admiral Parkway northbound at Carl Street.
May 4: Caleb M. Patton, 23, of St. Petersburg, Fla., was arrested for driving while license suspended and on a Jackson County warrant on Route 3 at FF Road.
Sean A. Gibson, 19, of Columbia, was arrested for possession of a narcotic instrument and possession of drug paraphernalia at 514 S. Main Street. Apt. C. On April 21, he was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (heroin) stemming from a March 18 incident.
May 5: Stacy L. Summers, 43, of Belleville, was arrested for DUI, speeding and illegal transportation of alcohol on Washington Street at South Main.
Monroe County Sheriff
May 1: Joshua A. Zipfel of Red Bud was charged with felony driving while license revoked (fourth offense) following an April 8 traffic
stop.
May 2: Teresa Plunkett of Hanson, Ky., was arrested on Route 156 for battery.
The theft of a gold diamond ring from inside the house and a copper kettle from an open-sided shed in the area of 4700 Chalfin Bridge Road is under investigation. The alleged theft occurred between March 23 and April 6.
May 3: The theft of an air compressor, chainsaw and drill from a garage on LL Road is under investigation. The alleged theft occurred be- tween April 24 and May 2.
Sean Lloyd, 25, of Waterloo, was arrested for battery on Hanover Street in Maeystown.
May 4: Michael J. Cohn, 37, of Valmeyer, was arrested for DUI, resisting arrest and criminal damage to government property after he allegedly caused damage to the Harrisonville levee near Bluff and HH roads with his vehicle.
May 5: Shortly after 4:30 p.m., the Hecker and Red Bud fire departments responded to the area of 5668 State Route 159 for a report of woods on fire near a residence.
Waterloo Police
April 16: Brian C. Schutzenhofer, 39, of East Alton, was arrested for reckless conduct.
April 25: Christopher Hearn of St. Charles, Mo., was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant out of Missouri.
April 29: A 15-year-old male was issued a city ordinance violation for public fighting at Waterloo High School.
May 1: Two 15-year-old males were issued city ordinance violations for public fighting at the Skate Park.
