Police Blotter 3/5/14

Columbia Police

Feb. 24 – Courtney N. Kish, 20, of Columbia, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant.
Matthew M. Davidson, 31, of East Carondelet, was arrested on two St. Clair County warrants.

Feb. 26 – Daniel R. Valenzuela, 24, of Columbia, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant.

March 2 – Robert J. Burrow, 33, of St. Louis, was arrested for DUI, no insurance, speeding and disobeying a traffic control device on Route 3 north of Route 158.

Donte T. Armstead was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant.

March 3 – Matthew Garner, 33, of Imperial, Mo., was arrested for unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe.

Illinois State Police

March 2 – Columbia police assisted ISP with a semi tractor-trailer that had lost control on an icy patch around 11 a.m. and traveled into the median on I-255 westbound near the Columbia exit. No injuries were reported.

Monroe County Sheriff

March 4 – Police, fire and emergency responders searched in the far western portion of the county near the Mississippi River for a possibly suicidal woman after a local man reported his fiancee missing early Tuesday afternoon. The vehicle she may have been driving is a blue 2001 Chevrolet Suburban. The vehicle was found, but there were no signs of the woman. A St. Louis County Police Department helicopter and local K-9 unit joined in the search. The woman’s cell phone pinged off a tower just across the river in Pevely, Mo. After 4 p.m., the Valmeyer, Columbia and Waterloo fire departments were dispatched to the area of Merrimac Road and Riechmann Road near the levee to assist in the search. Deputies located the woman alive around 6:30 p.m., and she was transported to St. Anthony’s for observation.

St. Clair County Sheriff

March 2 – The Hecker Fire Department was called to the area of 3500 Floraville Road around 6 a.m., after a snowplow flipped on its side while clearing the roadway. No injuries were reported.

Waterloo Police

Feb. 25 – Jesse C. Hoxworth, 18, of Waterloo, was cited for unlawful possession of alcohol at Waterloo High School.

Feb. 26 – Jake Augustine, 20, of Waterloo, was arrested for theft following a Feb. 10 incident at Walmart. $100 was allegedly stolen from a cash register.
