Small power outage in Columbia due to high winds

As a result of high winds late Thursday afternoon, a tree limb was blown onto a powerline in the area of Paul Avenue in Columbia (off of Carl Street west of Route 3) shortly after 4 p.m., causing a power outage for that immediate area. Ameren has been contacted to deal with the downed pole.

The Ameren outage map shows that 139 customers in Monroe County are currently without power as of 5:10 p.m.
