Columbia Police

Dec. 20
Antonia L. Reiss, 33, of Columbia, was arrested for DUI on Gall Road at Elizabeth Drive.

Dec. 22
Arthuro M. Garcia, 28, of East St. Louis, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant and for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, no valid license and no insurance in the 200 block of W. Warnock Street.

Dec. 26
Columbia police assisted the fire department in responding to a truck that was fully engulfed in flames on I-255 northbound near mile marker 7 around 8:30 p.m. The male driver from East St. Louis and his girlfriend were able to exit the vehicle without injury.

Monroe County Sheriff

Dec. 16
Angelika S. Seaton, 49, of Fults, was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis for treatment of injuries sustained in a crash on Maeystown Road south of Baum Road around 10:35 a.m.  Her vehicle went off the roadway at a curve and into a ditch.

Dec. 20
Ryan Schaefer, 21, of Ruma, was arrested for DUI and illegal transportation of alcohol on Route 159 at Wiegand Road.

Dec. 24
Deputies assisted the Waterloo Fire Department in responding to a chimney fire at 4701 Kern Road around 10 p.m. Firemen helped correct a severe buildup in the chimney flue which had led to smoke in the house. No damage was reported.

Dec. 26
Nicole Johnson was arrested on an in-state warrant on Brittany Lane.

Chris Murdock was arrested on a body attachment for contempt of court.

Police and EMS responded to a vehicle rollover in the area of 5203 Bluff Road around noon. The driver was not injured. A crew from Monroe County Electric Cooperative was dispatched to the scene as a utility pole was knocked over in the crash.

Waterloo Police

Dec. 19
A report of $1,000 in cash and other items taken from an unlocked car on Turtle Dove Lane is under investigation.

The attempted theft of items from a vehicle on Mary Drive is under investigation.

Dec. 22
Daniel Lambert, 51, of Dupo, was arrested for DUI, improper turn and no insurance on North Market Street at Columbia Avenue.

Janet Houston, 52, of Waterloo, and Jack Houston, 56, of Waterloo, were each arrested for domestic battery at 433 Janice Drive.
