Roseann C. Lackey

Roseann  C. “Rosie” Lackey, 57, of Alhambra, died Dec. 21, 2013, in Alhambra.

She was born Sept. 10, 1956, in Red Bud, daughter of Ethel M. (nee Johannsen) and the late Roger E.W. Stumpf.

She was married to William J. Lackey; he survives her.

She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. Lackey graduated from Waterloo High School and attended Sanford Brown Business College in St. Louis for two years.  She had worked for United Church of Christ in St. Louis, then for Assurance Brokers as an insurance broker.  She was very active in Cub Scouting and was a Den Mother.  Rosie enjoyed gardening and collecting things.

Other survivors include sons Brandon D. (Kimberly) Lackey, Christopher A. (Amy) Lackey and Erich J. Lackey (fiancee – Kim Collins); grandchildren Faith M. Lackey, Drevyn James Allen, Maddox Chase Lackey, Kadin Southwell; best friends Marcis Klouth and Cathy Trauernicht; brothers Michael (Mary) Stumpf, Fred (Tracy) Stumpf, Tim (Nancy) Stumpf; and sister Susan Stumpf.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 26 at Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra and from 9 to 10 a.m. Dec. 27 at Salem United Church of Christ, Alhambra.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Dec. 27 at the church, John Mindrup officiating.

Interment will be at Salem Cemetery in Alhambra.

Memorials may be made to Shriner’s Hospital.
