Megan Anne McConnell of New Athens and Andrew Emil Schaefer of Maeystown were married Nov. 8, 2013. Pastor Patrick Poole officiated the marriage.

The bride is the daughter of John and Bennie McConnell of Florissant, Mo., and Trudy Kaufman of Nashville, Tenn.

She is employed as a CAN at Oak Hill Nursing Home in Waterloo.

The groom is the son of Charles and Becky Schaefer of Maeystown.

He is employed as a Seabee in the United States Navy and is stationed at Gulfport, Miss.

Taylor Cory, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor.

Calen Schaefer, brother of the groom, was the best man.
