Monday is the deadline to file for public office

Monday, Nov. 25, was the first day to file candidate petitions for next year’s elections.

The deadline to file for political office is Monday, Dec. 2.

Last Monday, the following filed for office: Dennis Knobloch, County Clerk (R); Kevin Koenigstein, County Treasurer (R); Joe Brauer, Sheriff (R); Neal Rohlfing, Sheriff (R); Dennis Schreder, Sheriff (D); Carl Wuertz, Assessor (R); Barrie Scott, Assessor (D); Franklin Kohler, Commissioner (R); Robert Elmore, Commissioner (R); and Michael Kovarik, Commissioner (D).
