Eagles’ Snow named to all state team

Snow

Columbia Eagles senior offensive lineman Grant Snow has been named to the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association All-State team.

“He has been all conference and all area the past two years and is arguably the best offensive lineman I have ever coached,” said head coach Scott Horner.

Behind Snow’s line, the Eagles offense rushed for more than 2,000 yards this season enroute to their 9-1 record.

“His technique is flawless and with his size and strength, he is a force in the trenches. He was the leader on the offensive line,” Horner said. “He understands the game of football better than most and when we needed a yard, we ran behind Grant.”

A three-year starter, Snow earned an all state honorable mention last year.

Snow is planning to play college football, and is being recruited by Drake University and Lindenwood University in Belleville. Northwest Missouri State University has shown interest in Snow as well, according to Horner.
