The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is the Columbia High School varsity softball squad. The Eagles have won 10 straight games and are 12-2 on the season after defeating Wood River 10-4 on Tuesday. Among the key victories so far this spring for Columbia include a 2-1 win April 9 over rival Waterloo and a 4-0 win April 8 over conference rival Freeburg.
