Excavator fire west of Waterloo

Republic-Times- April 18, 2025

The Waterloo Fire Department responded along with Monroe Counry EMS and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department about 1:45 p.m. Friday to an excavator on fire in the area of 3700 State Route 156 just west of Waterloo.

The excavator was seen smoking in a field off the roadway. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the small blaze.
