The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Valmeyer High School basketball player Landon Roy. The senior was a key member of the Pirates this winter, averaging 13.5 points, a team-leading 3.6 assists and more than two steals per game this season. Roy also surpassed the 1,000-point milestone, finishing his Valmeyer hoops career with 1,068 points.
