The Illinois College men’s basketball squad fell to Grinnell, 86-81, in the semifinals of the Midwest Conference Tournament on Friday in Monmouth.

Illinois College finished the season with a 17-9 overall record. 

A key member of the Blueboys hoops squad this season was Waterloo High School graduate Ty Lenhardt. 

The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 10.3 points per game while playing in all 26 of the team’s games (three starts). 

Lenhardt made 49 percent of the three-point shots he attempted on the season.

Illinois College competes in NCAA Division III athletics.
