The Columbia Fire Department was paged just before 12:30 p.m. Friday for a multi-vehicle crash with possible injury on I-255 near mile post 6.

Initial reports stated a gas tanker was struck, but it did not show any signs of leakage. Columbia crews called to disregard EMS while they waited for Illinois State Police to arrive on the scene.
