Columbia Police
Aug. 2
Larry D. Howard, 31, of Winfield, Mo., was arrested for DUI, speeding and improper driving on the shoulder on Admiral Parkway northbound at Carl Street.
Aug. 3
Jamie A. Cole, 35, of Columbia, was arrested for domestic battery at 616 N. Briegel.
Aug. 4
Casey R. Stinemetz, 26, of St. Louis, was arrested on multiple in-state warrants.
Aug. 5
Kayla Zehner, 21, of Columbia, was arrested for retail theft at Ace Hardware.
Monroe County Sheriff
July 31
Kavin Wyatt of Columbia was arrested on an in-state warrant.
Kenneth W. Berner, 40, of Red Bud, was charged with domestic battery and felony criminal damage to property following a June 24 incident at 6615 Schreder Lane.
Joshua J. Doty, 39, of Waterloo, was charged with two counts of assault for a July 5 incident during which he allegedly “slashed a pocketknife in the direction” of Sonny Thole and “swung his fist” at Nicholas Clifford, according to court information.

A resident on MM Road reported they recently fell victim to a phone lottery scam that deceived them into paying a $7,000 processing fee.
Aug. 2
Christopher Chumley, 19, of Waterloo, was cited for speeding (99 miles per hour in a 55 zone) near J Road at Lake Forest Drive.
Aug. 3
Frank Wappel of Cahokia was arrested on an in-state warrant.
Battery charges are possible following a reported disturbance on Carr Road.
Waterloo Police
July 31
Lucas M. Hoffmann, 26, of Waterloo, was issued a notice to appear on the charge of felony possession of a controlled substance (heroin) following a June 1 incident.
Aug. 4
Russell Bray, 37, of Blue Springs, Mo., was arrested for assault after he allegedly “threw a large realtors door lock” at Donald Bray at 806 Victorian Avenue.
Aug. 5
Gunner Cradic, 18, of Waterloo, Tyler Burian, 18, of Waterloo, and Michael Upchurch, 18, of Waterloo, were each arrested for possession of cannabis on Sheridan Lane. Burian and Upchurch were also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Aug. 6
Police assisted utility workers at the scene of a gas leak in the 300 block of North Moore Street shortly after 7 p.m. A couple of homes in the area were evacuated as a precaution. A resident was apparently digging a post hole for a fence when the line disruption occurred.
