Jeremy and Heather Griffin of Waterloo announce the birth of their daughter, Avery Katlyn Griffin.

She was born Aug. 1, 2013, at 1:58 a.m., at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.

She weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces, and was 20.5 inches long.

She was welcomed to the family by sister Loralei, 2.

Her paternal grandparents are Michael and Linda Griffin.

Maternal grandparents are Larry and Reba Menke.

She was also welcomed by great-grandmother Catherine Menke.
