The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Columbia High School football player Jase Nelson. The junior running back rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries and also had two catches for 20 yards and a score in Friday’s 35-0 victory at Mater Dei. Nelson’s 61-yard TD run put the Eagles up 21-0 in the first half.
