Arrest made in Waterloo stabbing

An arrest was made in connection with an alleged stabbing that occurred Saturday evening in Waterloo.

Waterloo police said that shortly before 8:20 p.m., Robert Lee Harris, 58, of Cahokia, used a knife that lacerated the right hand of a male victim in the 400 block of South Church Street following a disturbance.

Court information alleges that Harris then tried to evade an arrest attempt by a Waterloo police officer.

Harris was charged with aggravated battery and resisting arrest.

Police said the victim was not seriously injured in the stabbing.
