Jack Harmon

Jack Harmon, 80, formerly of Waterloo, died June 4, 2013, at his home in Sacramento, Calif., surrounded by family and friends.

He was born March 22, 1933, in Los Angeles, Calif., son of the late Jack Harmon Sr. and Elva Easton Harmon Goeddel.

Mr. Harmon was a 1951 graduate ofWaterloo High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. After his honorable discharge, he married Rose Mary Wittenauer Harmon Livingston. In 1956, they and their infant son, David Lynn, moved from Waterloo to Southern California. In 1972, they and their four children moved to Auburn, Calif. About 10 years later they moved to Sacramento, Calif.

He enjoyed family and friends getting together, reading, and he was an excellent storyteller. He was also an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his children Mark (Linda) Harmon of Portland, Ore., Cathy (Bob) Cranston of San Diego, Calif., and Terri Harmon of Auburn, Calif.; grandchildren Leann and David Tyler; great-grandchildren Raven and Max; soulmate Doris Condos and her children Carrie, Susan and Nick, and grandchildren Jenna, Lyndsay, Holly, Kelsey, Cameron and Rowan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son David Lynn Harmon and sister Marjorie Crawford.

A memorial service was held at The Ridge in Auburn, Calif.
