Richard A. Lammert | Obituary

Richard A. Lammert, 85, of Waterloo, died June 4, 2024, in St. Louis. He was born April 22, 1939, in St. Louis.

Rich was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Annbriar Kloepper Club and Union Pacific Railroad Local 600. He loved softball, fishing, gardening and was a United States Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife Yvonne Lammert (nee Allscheid); children Beth Luhr (Kevin Steibel) and Tim Lammert; grandchildren Abigail and Amanda Lammert; brother Kenneth (Mildred) Lammert; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his son Ted A. Lammert, parents Theodore and Mae A. (nee Grubeh) Lammert and brother Ted Lammert.

Visitation is 2-6 p.m. June 9 and 8-9:30 a.m. June 10 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. June 10 at Ss. Peter & Paul Church in Waterloo with Father Linus Umoren C.M. officiating.

Interment will be at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo. 

As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions to donor’s choice.
