Pamela Anderson of Columbia and Brent Jones of St. Louis have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Claire and Karen Anderson of Columbia. She is a graduate of Columbia High School and South Dakota State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in geography. She is employed by the Department of Defense.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Terry and Pam Jones of Danville. He is a graduate of Danville High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He is employed as a presentation editor for the St. Louis Beacon.

The couple are planning an Aug. 24, 2013, wedding.
