Sunday crash near Waterloo

Several vehicles were involved in a crash along Route 3 just south of Waterloo shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday.

Responding agencies included the Waterloo Fire Department, Monroe County EMS and Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

The MCSD said a 17-year-old Waterloo female was driving a 2015 GMC Sierra south on Route 3 just north of Old Red Bud Road when she attempted to pass a southbound 2010 Dodge Charger driven by a 16-year-old Waterloo female that was turning left onto Old Red Bud Road. The GMC sideswiped the Charger, causing both units to veer off the roadway to the left and strike five parked vehicles – including motorcycles – at The Silo, 6180 State Route 3.
