Gas line struck in Valmeyer

The Valmeyer Fire Department responded at about 9:35 a.m. Friday for a gas leak at 106 E. Harrisonville Drive.

Initial reports are that a worker for a plumbing company was drilling a hole through concrete and struck a gas line. A strong odor of gas was detected shortly after the incident.
