Road rage arrests in Waterloo

A road rage incident that began in South St. Louis County ended in two men arrested Thursday morning in Waterloo.

Waterloo police said that at about 9:15 a.m., officers were alerted to a road rage incident that followed a collision in St. Louis County with two vehicles continuing at high rates of speed east on I-255 into Columbia, then south on Route 3 toward Waterloo.

In addition to the high speeds, the road rage incident involved these two vehicles tapping each other multiple times, the WPD said.

Police were eventually able to stop and surround both vehicles on Route 3 at Illinois Avenue in Waterloo. Both male drivers of the vehicles, neither being local residents, were taken into custody with charges pending.
