Laverne E. Rohlfing

Laverne E. Rohlfing (nee Brandt), 86, of Fults, died May 1, 2013, in Fults.

She was born Feb. 24, 1927, in Harrisonville, daughter of the late William and Lydia Brandt (nee Josten).

She was married to Alois A. Rohlfing; he survives her.

Mrs. Rohlfing was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Maeystown.

Survivors include her husband; children Ronald (Cathy) Rohlfing, Allyn (Trudi) Rohlfing, Wayne Rohlfing, and Gene (Amy) Rohlfing; grandchildren Justin (Cody) Rohlfing, Garrett (fiancee Elise Kettler) Rohlfing, Brooke (John) Zingrich, Chris Rohlfing, Scott Rohlfing, Dan Rohlfing, Alex Rohlfing, Derek Hoffmann and Claire Hoffmann; great-grandchildren Trey Rohlfing, Sydnee Zingrich and Breck Rohlfing; aunt Henrietta Kuhn; godchild Joyce Hamrick; nephew Robert Rohlfing Jr.; and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Robert (Ethel) Rohlfing Sr.

Visitation was May 3, at Quernheim Funeral Home, and May 4, from 9 to 11 a.m., at St. John United Church of Christ, Maeystown.

Funeral services were May 4, at the church, Pastor Patrick Poole officiating.

Interment followed at St. John Cemetery, Maeystown.

Memorials may be made to St. John UCC of Maeystown Cemetery Asphalt Fund, or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
