Mark and Jill Doerr of Columbia, formerly of Germantown, Wisc., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Doerr, of Jackson, Wisc., to Adam Derus of Jackson, Wisc., son of Rob and Lisa Derus of Burlington, Wisc.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Germantown High School, and a 2004 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, with a major in dance. She is a master professional ballroom dance instructor and choreographer for “May I Have This Dance?” dance studio in Chicago.

The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Burlington High School, and a 2007 graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh with a major in business administration. He is employed as a customer service director at Direct Supply in Milwaukee, Wisc.

The couple are planning an October 2013 wedding in Wisconsin.
