The Prairie du Pont Fire Department and Dupo Fire & EMS responded early Friday afternoon to assist Illinois State Police in handling a single-vehicle crash with possible injury on I-255 near milepost 10 in St. Clair County.

A tan four-door sedan was observed in the ditch, but it turned out to be a disabled vehicle and emergency crews assisted the motorist.

A tow truck was able to pull the car out. There were no injuries reported, ISP said.
